Robert David Tanis Jr. TUSCALOOSA Robert David Tanis Jr., age 70, of Tuscaloosa, died Nov. 22, 2012, at Hospice of West Alabama. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with Brad Smith officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be immediately following the service at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sue Tanis. Survivors include his wife, Sandra W. Tanis; his daughter, Dawn Godwin (John); his son, David Tanis; his sisters, Diane Schraffenberger, Kathy Adkins (Mike), and Rena Straub (Mark); and his grandchildren, Samuel and James Godwin. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Cockrell, Northridge Baptist Church, Southeast Cancer Network, Roberta Stone, Laura Jones, and T&G Computing.
