Robert Eugene Pearce EUTAW| Robert Eugene Pearce, age 74, of Eutaw, Ala., died on January 10, 2014 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2014 at Beulah Baptist Church in Knoxville, Ala., with Rev. Jay Seale and Rev. Don Lancaster officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Burial will follow service in the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Magnolia Chapel South. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Velma Pearce ; his sister, Jewel Heath; and his brother Grady Pearce. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Burkhalter Pearce; daughter, Kara Gibson (Brad) of Gordo, Ala.; son, Kevin Pearce (Terri) of Buhl, Ala.; sisters, Mary Lee White of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Kathleen Partrich of Muscle Shoals, Ala., Jane Gossett of Adger, Ala., and Sara Casey of Ebro, Fla.; brother, Leon Pearce of Eutaw, Ala.; and his grandchildren, Emily and Rebecca Pearce and Lilly and Levi Gibson. He was a life long resident of Greene County. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and served as Deacon for 30 years. He shared a loving marriage with his wife Nancy for 44 years. He served in the National Guard and retired from Alabama Power Co. He was a wonderful husband, loving father, and proud papa to his grandchildren. He endured many years of health issues with a positive attitude and his trust in his Savior Jesus Christ. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Heath, Hubert Pearce, Morgan Sellers, Ray Drummond, Harold Clayton, George Henderson, Frank Burns, and Bill Mayo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. William Hill, Dr. Steve Lovelady, friends and neighbors of Beulah Community, and co-workers of Greene County Steam Plant. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
