Robert was a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School and the University of Alabama. His greatest love was that for his children, Jeremy and Cortney. They were his pride and joy. He loved bragging on them with others. He was so happy when he was blessed with a precious granddaughter, Blakely Scott Palmer. He loved his son-in-law, Drew, and was glad that he and Cortney were always there for him. Robert treasured his family, especially his siblings and nieces and nephews. He never met a stranger. His outgoing personality and kindness allowed him to have many lifelong friends that he valued along with his family. He was "Big Daddy" to us all. His boisterous laugh and kind smile put people at ease. This trait made him a unique and compassionate friend and neighbor. He loved growing up and sharing life with his brother and sisters and their families. Robert was a successful businessman. His career included managing director of the Supply Store at the University of Alabama. He was proud of his accomplishments there and especially enjoyed his relationship with his coworkers, employees and vendors.
