Robert Moore

Robert Earl "Bob"� Moore, age 66, of Northport, died Sept. 7, 2011, at home. Memorial visitation will be tonight from 4 to 7 p.m. at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North in Northport. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred D. Moore of Sylacauga. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Bryant Moore of Northport; daughter, Stephanie M. Shults (Michael) of Northport; sons, Robert Scott Moore (Leah) of Pace, Fla. and Adam Bryant Moore (Tenille) of Tuscaloosa; sisters, Freda Nozworthy of Goodwater and Gail Oliver (Neal) of Lisman; brother, Frank D. Moore (Glenda) of Goodwater; mother, Thelma H. Moore of Goodwater; and grandchildren, Bryant Moore, Blake Moore, Reagan Shults, Riley Shults, and Aiden and Pierce Moore. Born in Sylacauga, Bob and his family moved to Tuscaloosa in 1966 in order to further his education. He attended the University of Alabama and received his degree in electrical engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Bob worked for Alabama Power Company for 39 years prior to retiring in August 2008. His two favorite pastimes were playing golf and enjoying Alabama football with his friends and family. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and coach. He influenced many young lives while coaching youth baseball. He was always the voice of reason for his children and grandchildren.
