Robert L. Hunter Jr. NORTHPORT Robert L. Hunter Jr., age 65, of Northport, died Jan. 23, 2013, at home. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Williamson Cemetery with Rev. Steve Stamps officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. Hunter Sr. and Dolly Pate Hunter; two brothers who died as infants; and a brother-in-law, Ronnie Mayo. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Betty Smith Hunter; his sister, Sally Hunter; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Mayo and Gail Phillips (Kenneth); precious mother-in-law, Bessie Montgomery Smith; nephews, Brian Phillips (Paige) and Kevin Mayo; niece, Mindy Sexton (Kevin); great-nephew, Brylan Sexton; and great-niece, Peyton Phillips. Honorary pallbearers are his many friends, his church family at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, and employees of Hospice of West Alabama. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Building Fund, 17689 Pine Lake Rd., Northport, AL 35475.
