Robert Barfield

Robert F. Barfield, Jr. age 48 of Northport, AL. passed away October 22, 2016 at UAB Medical Center. Services will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Magnolia Chapel North in Northport, AL at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Gene Carden officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will follow service at Williamson Cemetery. Magnolia Chapel North will be directing. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marion Neill Hill. Survivors include his wife, Jorene Smith Barfield; daughter, Lauren M. Hill (Josh); son, Nathan Deakle (Michael); sister, Kimberly Faith Barfield (Albert Morales); father, Dr. Bob Barfield; stepfather, Dr. Jim Hill; grandchild, Megan Hill; niece, Fiona Barfield. Pallbearers will be Joe Campbell, Dr. Phillip Clark, Dr. Dan Durkin, Josh Holland, Johnny Gwinn, and Greg Evans. Honorary pallbearers will be Berry Meggs, Chuck Byrene, Kathi Wolf, Sherine Azzan, Jason Smith, Dr. Salli Davis, Jason Lueg, Mike Thorgenson and Emily Hayes. Rick was a proud graduate of Marion Military Inst. and the University of Alabama. He received his culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu De Laitlaino. He was a partner and general manager of JoJo's Food Truck in Tuscaloosa, AL. He never met a stranger and he was loved by all. At Ricks request please wear Alabama casual attire for the service.
