Richard Vickerson TUSCALOOSA Richard Vickerson, age 65, of Tuscaloosa, died April 5, 2012, at home. Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Monday at St. Luke's United Methodist Church with Charles Herron officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walden and Elizabeth Vickerson; his brothers, Walden Jr. and Randall Vickerson; and his granddaughter, Karlie Rae Odum. Survivors include his wife, Jean Vickerson; his daughter, Vickie Mansfield (Mike); his son, Richie Vickerson (Sharon); his sisters, Faye Smart and Bama McDaniel; his brothers, Robert Vickerson and Billy McDaniel of Tuscaloosa and Milton Vickerson and Gary Vickerson of Maine; and his grandchildren, Nick and Jake Vickerson, Spencer Odum, and Michael and Britney Champion. He was a painter for Vickerson Painting for 45 years and a native of Portland, Maine. He was a great fan of baseball and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. His passion was working and taking care of his family. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Skelton and staff, Amedisys Hospice, Barry Burner, Larry Easterwood, Louie Martin, all his nieces and nephews, and Miriam Alexander.
