Richard Wayne Tubbs Greensboro / Richard Wayne Tubbs age 75 of Greensboro died November 16, 2014 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be held on Wednesday November 19, 2014 at New Hope Baptist Church in Moundville at 1:00pm with Rev. Kerry Mitchell and Rev. Raymond Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 18, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00 pm at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South. He is preceded in death by his parents Hoover and Beatrice Tubbs; brothers James and Ralph Tubbs ; sister Vica Neal, Elna Wilkerson and Evelyn Lyles. Survivors include his wife Charlsey "Tot" Tubbs of Greensboro ; his sons Charlie (Beverly), Terry (Donna), Allen (Sheryl) Tubbs all of Greensboro and Randall (Libba) Tubbs of Tuscaloosa; sister Oleta Mitchell of Perry County; 9 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a devoted husband and loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. Pallbearers will be Vernon Crawford, Robert Hartley, Doug Hoggle, Darren Mitchell, Brian Thomas and Bubba Ramey. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hale County EMS, ICU staff at DCH, The staff at Colonial Haven Nursing Home, Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Hoggle, Mr. and Mrs. Searcy Averett and Hale County Home Health. In Lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to New Hope Cemetery Fund.
