Richard D. "Rick" Snyder
COKER - Richard D. "Rick" Snyder, age 61, of Coker, Ala., passed away December 4, 2018 at his residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2018, at Magnolia Chapel North with Bro. Shawn Odell officiating. Burial will follow in Coker Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018, at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard W. Snyder; brother, Bo Snyder; grandparents, Deal and Louise Snyder and Archie Duren and Susie Jacobs; and aunt and uncle, Wynona and Bobby Snyder.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Rose Snyder; son, Brad Snyder (Megan); mother, Billie Sue Snyder; sister, Lane Hiles; and grandchildren, Mike and Grey Snyder.
Mr. Snyder was the founder of South's Finest Meats. He loved being a business partner with Dave Snow and loved to stir mischief with all the employees. He was a loving husband, dad and PawPaw. After retirement, he loved hanging out at Don's Barber Shop and delivering catering for Urban Cook House. He also loved hanging out with grandkids and taking long trips on his motorcycle with his wife and friends.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Whitley, David Walker, Butch Snyder, David Snow, Charles Woodward, Robbie Leonard, Shane Kelly and Hamilton Guin. Honorary pallbearers are the employees of South's Finest Meats and Urban Cook House, friends and neighbors of Lake Robinwood and Don's Barber Shop.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
