Richard Johnson MOUNDVILLE Richard Johnson, age 66, of Moundville, died May 14, 2013, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Community Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry Koster officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rogres and Eva Lee Johnson; his sister, Bonnie Ruiz; and his son, Richard "Ricky" Johnson. Survivors include his wife, Frances Windham Johnson of Moundville; his daughters, Donna Stewart and MaryBeth Falls (Eric), both of Cottondale, and Katie Brady (Michael) of Tuscaloosa; his son, Wendell Johnson (Angela) of Brookwood; two sisters; two brothers; and his grandchildren, Wesley Johnson, Morgan Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Thomas Johnson, Hope Stewart, Briley Brady, Aaron Falls, Chase Brady, Lily Eaton, Lola Eaton, and Cullen Brady. Richard was an active member of Community Baptist Church in Havana. The way he lived his life, it was apparent he believed and understood Mark 12:30-31-Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. He was known for his smile, his kind spirit, taking pictures, painting, Facebook, and crafts. There was no limit to his willingness to help. He loved God and his children and prayed for them continuously. They are thankful for his life and look forward to seeing him in heaven. Pallbearers will be Wesley Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Thomas Johnson, Robert Skelton, Brylon Galleagos, and Steve Payne. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Community Baptist Church of Havana, P.O. Box 488, Moundville, AL 35474.
