Richard Gilliland

BUHL- Richard J. Gilliland, age 73 , died October 15, 2018 at his home. Visitation will be Tuesay, October 16, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Bethany Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Tim Fields officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing. Burial will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Irene Wheat Gilliland, and his brother Frederick Gilliland.

Survivors include his wife Kathy Schofield Gilliland; daughter, Ashley Sullivan (Allen); son, Jason Gilliland; sisters, JoAnn Ray, Eddie Lou Tilley, & Bonnie Branyon; Brothers, Wayne & James Gilliland; grandchildren, Kristin Sullivan, Anna Kate Sullivan, Clay Sullivan, & Taylor Gilliland.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Gilliland, Randall Ray, Steve Tilley, Earl McDaniel, Tommy Hughes, & Joe Mills. Honorary Pallbearers include owners & employees of Barnes Excavation, Dr. Stephen Browne, Dr. David Hinton, & members of Bethany Baptist Church.

The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Manderson Cancer Center at DCH Health Systems.
