Rena Nuckols

Rena Muriel Nuckols, age 88, of Samantha, Ala., died January 6, 2018, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Phillips Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Terrell Jones and Jerry Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. She is preceded in death by her husband Edmond Nuckols, son; Robert Nuckols and her parents Burton and Adella Weaver. She is survived by her sister; Naomi Weaver, brother in law; Gorman Nuckols (Ruth), and her niece, nephew and cousins. Rena Muriel was a great seamstress and enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers and going to church. Pallbearers will be Bryan Hughes, Barry Hughes, Johnny Nuckols, Tim Long, Loy Lunceford, Troy Jones, Bobby Swindle, and Nathan Kelley. Honorary pallbearers are friends of the Samantha Community, Phillips Chapel, Ashley, Dona Faye, Bryan and Beverly Hughes, Bill and Sheila Rice, Floyd and Faye Hughes, Missy Gilliam, Lauren and Brandon Barrentine, Joe and Kim Rice.
