Ralph Lunsford

Ralph C. Lunsford, age 97 of Northport, Alabama passed away from this life unto glory to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, October 21, 2022. Ralph was born on August 21, 1925 in Houston County, Alabama.

Services will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Magnolia Chapel South with Sam Delaney officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the funeral home prior to the service.

He was a Veteran of WWII. He joined the Navy when he was 17 years of age in 1943 and served in the Pacific and Okinawa until 1945. He retired from Civil Service, Brookly Air Force Base in Mobile, Alabama.

He was always active and loved being outdoors, working and traveling, taking mission trips. He was also an active member serving in Rice's Valley Baptist Church. He loved his Church, his Pastor Sam Delaney and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife Thelma Corrina Lunsford, parents; J.C. and Lettie V. Lunsford, two brothers; A.C. Lunsford and Harold Lunsford, two sisters; Etowah and Jessie Myrl Lunsford, daughter-in-law; Linda Lunsford, and great great granddaughter; Reagan Elizabeth.

He is survived by his brothers; Ferrin, Virgil, and Waylan Lunsford, sister; Nell Porter, son; Jimmy C. Lunsford, daughter; Sandra Sue Jackson (Jim), Four grandchildren, Thirteen great grandchildren, and Ten great great grandchildren.
