Raiford Dean Duren BUHL | Raiford Dean Duren, age 94, of Buhl, died September 16, 2015, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2015, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Elder Tim McCool officiating. Burial will follow in Elrod Community Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Sue Durden. Survivors include his sons, Greg Duren (Rachel) of South Carolina, Dexter Duren of Buhl, Eric Duren (Melinda) of Buhl, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. At age fourteen, he took his father's responsibilities due to illness and harvested family crop which saved the lives of his nine siblings. He was an avid gardener and the gentlest man you would ever meet. He was a true servant of his Lord. His biggest fear was to be a burden to his family and he was just the opposite. Raiford cared for his family and served the Lord until his last day. Pallbearers will be Adriel Duren, Greg Duren, Eric Duren, Dexter Duren, Andrew Duren, Byron Duren and Ruben Duren. Honorary pallbearers are past and present employees of BF Goodrich, Dr. Clint McEntyre, Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church, Elder Tim McCool, Sipsey Valley community, Dr. Phil Hemstreet, and Joey and Ralph Burroughs family.
