Rachel S. Vaughn BUHL Rachel S. Vaughn, age 85, of Buhl, died April 24, 2011, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Salem Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Carroll Smith and Rev. Willis Harbison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Vaughn; parents, Wesley G. and Mary Jane Smith; granddaughter, Hope Vaughn; brothers, Dick, Johnny, Dow, Buddie, Willie, David, and J.T Smith; and sisters, Elitha and Betty Johnson. Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth "Liz" Jacobs (Larry); sons, James Vaughn and Ronald Vaughn (Brenda); sister, Ruth Busby; brother, Elijah Smith; grandchildren, Jimmy Vaughn (Dana), Jennifer Vaughn, Wesley Jacobs (Cheli), Hunter Vaughn, and Austin Vaughn; and great-grandchildren, Eathan, Anna Lee, and Abby Claire Vaughn, and Will and Nathan Jacobs. She was a loving mother, granny, and sister. Her family meant the world to her, and she was so proud of them all. Her family knows that she is in Heaven and will be waiting on them. We have been blessed to have had her in our lives. Pallbearers will be James Vaughn, Jimmy Vaughn, Wesley Jacobs, Hunter Vaughn, Austin Vaughn, and Jerry Busby. Junior pallbearers will be Eathan Vaughn and Will Jacobs. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama. Published in Tuscaloosa News on April 26, 2011
