Phillip Lane Champion NORTHPORT Phillip Lane Champion, age 59, of Northport, died Feb. 10, 2012, at Northport Medical Center-DCH. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Campground Methodist Church Cemetery with Timothy Watson officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Champion and Maureen Champion, and his brother, James "Jimmy" Wilson. Survivors include his wife, Reta Champion of Northport; his daughter, Courtney Moore (D.J.) of Northport; his son, Brian Champion (Kim) of Northport; his sister, Sherry Champion of Northport; his grandchildren, Tyler Champion and Olivia Champion, Madison Pugh, Savannah Champion, and Zoe, Drew, Cooper, and Parker Moore; and a loving family of nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. Pallbearers will be Dustin Watson, Elden Willingham, Gary Mims, Buddy James, Antonio Ferrell, and Tim Robertson. Honorary pallbearers are the staff of Cancer Care Center, his friends, and his other "family" at Skyland Antiques. Published in Tuscaloosa News from February 11 to February 12, 2012
