Penny "Bill" Epperson MOUNDVILLE Penny "Bill" Epperson, age 67, of Moundville, died May 2, 2012, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Edwin King officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Methodist Church Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Julia L. Epperson, and his father, Henry Epperson. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Betty Epperson; his daughters, Sharon Gilliland (Earl) and Diane Wester (Joe); his son, Russell Epperson (Reagan); two sisters; five brothers; his cousin, Bertha Gay, who was close to his heart; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Mr. Epperson was a fantastic father, husband, and friend to all who knew him. Pallbearers will be Cedrick Kirkland, Arthur Hall, Chris Epperson, Wade Epperson, Neil Moakley, and Kenneth Fountaine.
