Peggy Liner Hayes | TUSCALOOSA Peggy Liner Hayes, age 68, peacefully joined her Lord and Savior on April 4, 2011. Her gigantic heart for family and friends made up for her small stature. Energetic and vivacious in her early years, she lovingly poured herself into her family and her church. Never letting circumstances prevent her from building meaningful relationships, she had a heart full of forgiveness. Although she struggled in recent years with health issues, she had an infectious laugh that proved she had never lost joy in her Lord or with her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Walker Liner Sr. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Richard Hayes. A proud mother to four children, she is survived by two sons Lynn (Tanya) and Scott (Angie), and two daughters Patti Hayes and Christy Beem (Derick). She was the doting grandmother of 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother Mary Liner and her five siblings. The pallbearers will be her nephews. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at Magnolia Chapel South. The celebration of her life will take place Friday, April 8, at 11:00 a.m. at Alberta Baptist Church. Presiding clergy will be Bro. Larry Corder and Bro. Tim Baumgartner. The burial service will take place at Memory Hill Gardens. ""I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." (John 14:2-3, NIV) Published in Tuscaloosa News on April 7, 2011
