Peggy Coleman COKER Peggy Coleman, age 65, of Coker, died Feb. 25, 2013, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Dr. Ken Cheek and Dr. Thad Harless officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Private burial will take place in Big Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. and from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her father, Durel Williamson; her mother, Lorene Turner Williamson; and her sister, Wanda Kaye Williamson. Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Tommy Coleman of Coker; her daughters, Leta Foster of Tuscaloosa and Lori White (Courtney) of Northport; her son, Jeff Coleman (April) of Northport; and her grandchildren, Carson Foster, Jon Coleman Foster, Connor White, Liz Morgan White, Meredith White, and Kate Coleman. Peggy was born February 25, 1948. She was a retired registered nurse who enjoyed spending time with friends and family, shopping, and gardening. She could always be seen with her husband Tommy. Together they enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren, camping, going out to eat, and being active members at Coker Baptist Church. Peggy had a kind, gentle, and thoughtful spirit. She cared for others deeply and was always available for a chat on the phone or to lend a hand when she was able. Peggy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed. Honorary pallbearers are Ray Burkhalter, Jonathan Dunn, Dwight Lammon, Randall Marshall, Wayne Wilson, and Bryan Cork. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama or Coker Baptist Church.
