Paul Glenn Meadows Jr. NORTHPORT Paul Glenn Meadows, Jr., a beloved father, grandfather, brother, cousin and uncle, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 in Northport, Alabama at his home. Services to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 am on August 2, 2013, at Jennings Chapel Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Paul served his country for 30 years between the Army and Naval Reserves. He worked in maintenance at Gulf States papermill and retired from B.P, Goodrich as a master plumber/pipefitter. Paul loved antiques and was the owner operator of River City Antiques and Appraisal since 1974. He loved to fish and spend time with his grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by parents Paul and Katherine Meadows; sisters, Christine Avery and Glenda Harbison; and daughter, Jennifer Nairemore. Paul is survived by his wife and childhood sweetheart of 49 years, Faye Meadows; along with his daughter Tracy Tucker (Greg); sister Ann Pitt (Mccoy) of Decatur, Ala.; his beloved grandchildren, Savannah, Tristan and Rylee Nairemore, Caroline and Addison Thrower, Stephanie and Robert Tucker of Michigan; along with many nieces and nephews that he thought the world of as they did of him. Pallbearers will be Jerry Thrower, Randy Spencer, Larry Whittaker, Ike Nixon, Gene Leonard, and Steve Jernigan. Honorary pallbearers are Danny and Lynn Bobo, Joe and Alice Snow, Ronnie and Renea Taylor, friends at the Skyland Antique Mail, Jennings Chapel family and neighbors of Airport Road. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. John Dubay and the nurses at DCH Cancer Treatment Center and inpatient Oncology unit.
