He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob G. and Allie Hagler; son, Jerry W. Hagler; and brothers, Gordon, Jake, Ben and B. G. Hagler. Survivors include his daughters, Shelia Jo Hagler and Nancy Cone (Lee); son, Marty Hagler (Celeste); sisters, Ann Martin and Coleen Lunceford Hall (J. C.); grandchildren, Kent Hagler, Jessie Hagler, Amanda Watson (Scott), Justin Davis, Christina Cone Shook, Brandon Cone and Jared Hagler; and great-grandchildren, Hunter Booth, Hannah Booth, Layla Watson, Bella Davis and Gracie Davis. ""Doc"" was a man of integrity and respect. He believed in working hard and doing things the right way. This was evident in the detail and craftsmanship of everything he built with his hands throughout his lifetime. He built beautiful homes and magnificent churches. After his retirement, he enjoyed painting and wood carving. More than anything he loved to be in his garden or on the front porch talking with whoever happened to stop by. He would always be up on the latest sports, politics, the economy or hunting and fishing stories. And for sure, he'd have a joke to tell or something to say that would make you laugh. Everyone in the Northside community knew him and everyone loved and respected him for the man and the life he lived. Hagler Road will never be the same without the sight of him in his straw hat and overalls sitting in the rocking chair on the front porch. Our family will never be the same without out beloved ""Daddy"" ""Papaw Doc"". Until we meet again in the sweet by and by" Pallbearers will be Kent Hagler, Robert Hagler, David Foman, Justin Davis, Richard Pritchett and Revons Bigham. Honorary pallbearers are Doug Hollyhand Realty, Inc., Jimmy Ray Sanford, Coach Steve Deavours, family and friends of North Hagler Road and the Samantha community. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Arbor Springs Baptist Church Cemetery fund.
