Ola V. Tyner Ray | SAMANTHA Ola V. Tyner Ray, age 72, of Samantha, died April 1, 2011, at home. Services will be 3 p.m. today at Arbor Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Ted Sessoms and Rev. Max Stripling officiating. Burial will follow in Arbor Springs Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation was Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Ola is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Hobson Ray, 10 days prior to her passing. Survivors include her daughter, Sherrie Hudson (Ross); her sons, Glenn Ray (Penny) and Randall Ray (Kristi); her sister, Oline Tyner Farley; her sisters-in-law, Dot Tyner and Julie Tyner; her brothers, Jimmie H. "Buddy"� Tyner (Cleta) of Steadman, N.C., and Lewis "Luke"� Tyner (Jo) of Cottondale; her special niece, Frances Willingham; her grandchildren, Ashley Taylor (Matthew), Justin Ray (Kati Chastine), Brady and Blaine Hudson, and Kolton and Keelyn Ray; and her great-grandchild, Aubrey Taylor. Our Mama and MawMaw now walks with her heavenly Father and has been reunited with our earthly father with a whole and healthy body. We know he was waiting for her just inside those pearly gates, which gives us much comfort and peace. Pallbearers will be Justin Ray, Brady Hudson, Blaine Hudson, Matthew Taylor, Chris Olmstead, Lane Tyner, and Kenny Smith. Honorary pallbearers include Ms. Minnie Jones, Kim Hodo, friends of Samantha Community and of Durrett Grove, and members of Arbor Springs Baptist Church, New Hope Baptist Church, Lakewood Baptist Church, and Church of Tuscaloosa. A special thank you to her caregivers, Juanita Lee, Kim Lapsley, Jamie Robertson, and Teresa Ivory, who went over and beyond the call of duty with love and compassion to both our Mama and Daddy and with love and support given to our entire family.
