Nelda Defoor

TUSCALOOSA - Nelda Defoor, age 79, died June 2, 2017, at her residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Magnolia Chapel North with Rev. Todd Burkhalter officiating. Burial will follow in Center Springs Cemetery on County Road 21 in Gordo, AL. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Elaine; her parents; brothers, William "�Billy"� Hall and Marion Wayne "�Buddy"� Hall; sisters, Jackie Hall Hilyer and Annette Hall Dunn. Survivors include her husband, Clayborn Defoor; son, David (Kathy) Williams; brother, Ed Hall; grandchildren, Greg (Amy) Williams, Kandi (Josh) Cooper and Tammy Rockhearts; great children, Kiley, Toni, Christen, Eric, Angel and Tony. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives She was born Nelda Idaleen Hall on July 27, 1937 in Gordo, Alabama to James & Margie Hall. She attended school at Kirk Elementary; later at Gordo Elementary and Gordo High. She loved Alabama football. Nell was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed. Pallbearers will be Bradly Reece, Wes Gray, Joey Martinez, Gary Dunn, Burton Dunn and Tony Box.
