Nancy Jane Whittington

Nancy Jane Whittington, age 85, of Woodstock, Alabama, passed away December 30, 2024 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2025, at Magnolia Chapel North with Bro. Carl Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel North directing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lance Bunn and Velma Bunn; twin brother, Buddy Bunn; and sister, Jeanette Bunn.

Survivors include her sisters, Lynda Cain and Scarlett Sartain; furry children, Lily and Prince; and other relatives.

She was an avid football fan for many years and Tide Pride ticket holder.

The family wants to deeply thank Bro. Carl Hall of Green Pond Baptist Church for their ministry to her. It strengthened her soul and touched us as well. Thanks to owners and coworkers of Bright Star Restaurant in Bessemer, Alabama, and the Brenda Salser family. 

Pallbearers will be Lance Christian, John Lesley, Harlan Salser, and Jay Salser.

Honorary pallbearers are TCHS Class of 1957 and retirees of AT&T.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to your favorite charity or Green Pond Baptist Church.
