Nancy Korpi Brophy NORTHPORT | Nancy Korpi Brophy, age 77, of Northport, Ala., died July 14, 2014. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, at The Northport First United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Spivey and Rev. Jerry Croft officiating. Nancy's ashes will be laid to rest in Montana at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North. She was preceded in death by her parents, Levi and Sophie Korpi; and brothers, Robert Korpi and Leo Korpi. She is survived by her husband of 56 years of marriage, James R. Brophy Jr.; daughters, Vickie Brophy, Julie Lyle, Jennifer Brophy, and Jill Jones (Jamie); a son, Michael Brophy (Dixie); and her beloved grandchildren, Kayla and Samantha Lyle, Tyler and Mallory Brophy, and Cooper and Crett Jones. Nancy was dearly loved by her family and friends. She was a truly wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. Her caring and compassionate nature was felt by all that knew her. Nancy will be greatly missed by all.
