MOUNDVILLE - Mitt Tubbs, age 86, of Moundville, Ala., passed away November 18, 2018 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at Magnolia Chapel South with Mr. Sonny Ryan officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel South Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Tubbs; his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his daughters, Libby A. Burns (Bruce Hollingsworth) and Donna Christian (Roger Christian); son, Mitt Tubbs, Jr. (Tera Tubbs); six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Tubbs retired from the Tuscaloosa County Engineer Department.
Pallbearers will be Gavin Christian, Cole McLaughlin, Landon Wyatt, Lawson Wyatt, Keith Henry, Dodi York, Jeremy Houston and Caleb Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers are Eunice Bibby, Victor Poole and caretakers: Lynn Tucker, Delois McGraw, Geraldine Bishop and Cleveland Winn.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Moundville Methodist Church or your favorite charity.
