Misty Hartley

Misty Stevenson Hartley, 52 of Berry, Alabama sadly left us August 9, 2024 at Hospice of West Alabama. She was surrounded by her family and passed peacefully. 

Misty, lovingly known as "Misty Shell" by her family, was born July 30, 1972, in Miami, Oklahoma to her parents Mikle Stevenson and Cathy Crow Hudson. Misty was a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School Class of 1990 and went on to obtain a degree from Shelton State Community College as a registered nurse. Misty met her husband Wallace Hartley got married and raised two children. She practiced registered nursing at DCH Tuscaloosa for many years. 

She is preceded in death by both her maternal and paternal grandparents and her favorite Aunt, Claudia Crow Atkinson, affectionately know as Dee Dee.

Misty leaves behind her husband Wallace Hartley of the home, two children, Courtney Barnard and Tanner Hartley, two stepchildren Brandi Hunt and Mike Hartley, her parents, Mickle Stevenson (Lanette), and Cathy Crow Hudson (Gary), three sisters Olivia Hudson, Octavia Gardner and Katie Goodwin and one brother Mark Besant, three nephews, Garrett Jamorski, Brantley Hudson, Will Kelley, three nieces; Destiny Avent, Saharra Kelley and Breanna Hudson, she was also loved by a number of nieces, nephews and grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be Chris Williams, Stan Raley, Terry Gardner, Garrett Jamorski, Brantley Hudson and Tim Wall. 

A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Magnolia Chapel North Funeral Home with Bro Rick Taylor officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be held at the Chapel one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Sulphur Springs Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
