She is survived by her nieces, Wanda LaVoy (Johnny) and Glenda Mason (Butch); nephew, Bruce Jones; and great- nieces and nephews, all of Birmingham, Ala. Mrs. Wright lived many years in Louisville, Kentucky and she and Mr. Wright came to Tuscaloosa, Alabama when they retired to make this their home. Mrs. Wright was the first resident at Aspire of West Alabama and had resided there till her death. She celebrated her 102nd birthday there June 2016, and a library was established in her honor by a dear friend, Ninette Cannon, that worked very hard to get this up and running for residents and visitors to enjoy in the future while remembering Mrs. Wright for her love of books and wanting to leave a little remembrance of her days at Aspire of West Alabama. She loved dearly her family at Aspire and she was loved by all of them. She had always said that the last eight months of her life were the best because of the staff that made her life worth living every day. Mrs. Wright enjoyed good health till shortly before her death. She loved her First Baptist Church family also, and always enjoyed the many visits she received and always read and kept up with everything that was going on at the church. The highlight of her day was having the flowers delivered to her from the church and she listened to her church service every Sunday. Mrs. Wright was a true Southern lady in every sense of the word, and will be missed by the many friend and family that she left behind. Mrs. Wright had a very special neighbor that meant the world to her and always enjoyed her visits from Miss Bobbie; she always said she was the best neighbor she had ever had Thanks Bobbie, for your many visits and your great friendship. I want to personally thank the staff at Aspire for your many acts of kindness for Mrs. Wright and I will always remember the great times she had while living there. She loved you all dearly and thanks for taking great care of her till the end. You will always be remembered as the BEST. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to her library at Aspire of West Alabama in Northport, A1abama.
