Mildred Edmonds White, age 88, passed July 1, 2016, at Tuscany Living Villa personal care home in Katy, Texas under hospice care. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Moundville Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Duckett and Rev. Joey Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ottis ""Frank"" White; parents, Thomas Edmonds, Sr. and Idella Cook Edmonds Carter; step father, Clifford Carter; and sisters, Elizabeth King, Joyce Jones and Nell Perry Rigby. Survivors include her son, Randy White of Lawrenceville, Georgia; daughter, Lisa W. Ritchey (David) of Katy, Texas; one brother, Thomas Edmonds, Jr. (Arlene); four grandchildren, Stephen White (Julie) and Kimberly W. Massengill (Stacey) and Jonathan David Ritchey and Ashley Ann Ritchey; sister-in-law, Doris Duffey; and several nieces and nephews. Mildred was a godly woman who was very kind, warm and loving with a special gift of hospitality. She loved to talk, laugh and spend time with her family and friends. Pallbearers will be Stephen White, Jonathan Ritchey, Eunice Bibby, Terry Holland, Macon Beckham and Gary Smelley. Honorary pallbearers are Scott and Cookie Hawthorn, Thelma Elliott Sunday School class and caregivers/friends of Veranda House Assisted Living and Tuscany Living Villa. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Moundville Baptist Church Building Fund.
