Milburn Grady Lamb, Jr.

GAINESVILLE - Milburn Grady Lamb, Jr., age 77, of Gainesville, Ala., passed away January 19, 2020 at his residence. Services will be 12 noon Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at Magnolia Chapel South with Bro. Carl Sudduth officiating. Burial will follow in Mesopotamia Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Milburn and Virginia Lamb.

Survivors include his fiancee; Melanie McLelland of Gainsville, AL., daughters; Kim Langham (Jim), Cindy Wilson (Joe), Emily Lamb of Carrollton, GA., and Amanda Lamb of Hendersonville,NC., Mel and Buddy Skellie of Tennessee,sons; Bo Tartt (Amanda) of Clanton, Alabama, Pru McLelland of Eutaw, AL., sister; Kay Lamb of Tuscaloosa, AL., grandchildren; Hope and Jeffery Vance, Duke and Brittany Daily, Mallory and Jessie Wilson of Carrollton, GA., Cowin Schiesz of Tennessee, Oliver and Diggs McLelland of Aliceville,AL., great grandchildren; Jake and Lyla Vance of Carrolton, GA.

He was a very avid outdoors man. He loved gardening, a love he acquired from his fathers hobby. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Milburn, was a civil war re-enactment enthusiast with a passion for teaching others about history. With his many years spent working with Southwire Company he was able to travel the world and learn about many different cultures. He was a Methodist by faith and a follower of Christ by nature.

Pallbearers will be Colton Nelson, Thad Goldman, Bruce Moore, Duke Daily, Pru McLelland, and Bo Tartt. Honorary pallbearers are Dale Robinson, Joe Harrod, Herman Stegall, Jeffrey Vance and his many other re-enactment buddies.
