Melvin Wheat

Melvin Bobby Wheat, of Northport, Al., passed away at DCH Regional Medical Center on Saturday July 28, 2018. A service will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Tabernacle Free Will Baptist Church at 11:00 am with Rev. Jerry Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Lee and Nancy Malone Wheat;, brothers, Milton, Guin, Alvin, and Ronnie Wheat.

Survivors include sisters Annie (Mac) Walters and Faye Wheat; sister-in-law, Linda Wheat; brothers, Cecil (Barbara) Wheat and Roger (Debra) Wheat; and thirteen nieces and nephews.

Pallbears will be Randall Wheat, Wayne Wheat, Greg Walters, Darwin Walters, Ethan Chism, and Tanner Sanford. Honary Pallbearers are the employees of Northport Health and Rehab.
