Maudean Hood

Maudean D. Hood Maudean D. Hood, age 81, of Berry, Ala., died September 14, 2013, at home. Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Salem Baptist Church with Bro. Joe Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton L. Hood; daughter, Rebecca LaFoy; and granddaughter, Chandra Naugher. Survivors include grandsons, Shane Naugher (Michelle) and Seth LaFoy (Amanda); and great-grandchildren, Andrew Naugher, Andrya Naugher, and Brianna Burnett. She was a sweet, caring Christian lady, who has finally gotten her wings. She is dancing with Wilton in Heaven. We love her and will miss her very much. Pallbearers will be Patrick Tucker, Bobby Dyer Jr., Bobby Dyer III., Johnny Walker, Johnathan Swindle, Joe Taylor, Michael Woods, and Johnathan Burnett. Special thanks to AlaCare Hospice for the loving care they gave. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Salem Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in Maudean D. Hood's memory.
