Frances Freeman Beck TUSCALOOSA Frances Freeman Beck, age 97, of Tuscaloosa, passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family on November 22, 2013. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2013, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Albert Lyles, Rev. Ed King and Rev. Patrick Branch officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service at the church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie C. Beck, Sr.; her parents; and eight siblings. Survivors include her daughter, Jean Haun; her sons Willie C. "Sonny"� Beck, Jr., Ronnie Beck (Barbara), and Robert Beck (Rosa); her grandchildren, Donna Johnson(David), Michael Beck (Holly), and Randy Beck (Tammy); her great-grandchildren, Meagan, Nikki, Dalton, and Lauren Beck; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Mrs. Frances was a homemaker most of her life, but after raising her family she worked at Partlow State School for more than 18 years before retiring. She loved to cook and was well known for her delicious cakes. She loved the Lord and was a faithful Chapter Member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and attended Oak Grove School as a child until it was converted into a church. Some of her favorite things were her vegetable garden and her beautiful flowers. Her family was the pride and joy of her life. She had a great appreciation for their love and the special care given during the later years of her life. Pallbearers will be Michael Beck, Randy Beck, Jimmy Freeman, Jack Freeman, Billy Hartley, Douglas Freeman, Tony Mitchell, and Timmy Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers are friends and neighbors of Oak Grove Baptist Church and the community, Dr. Bob Grubbs, Alabama Hospice Care of Tuscaloosa, Lori Norrell, Jennifer Harbin, and Debbie Hathcock. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alabama Hospice Care of Tuscaloosa or Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
