Mary Wheeler

Mary Ann Wheeler was born on April 13, 1958, and was loved by her family.  She lived a very active and full life.  She resided 49 years at the Stewart Home School, in Frankfort KY.   At Stewart Home School, she was involved in many sporting activities, including horseback riding, basketball, cheerleading, swimming, and bowling.    She particularly enjoyed competing on the Stewart Home team in the Special Olympics, earning many medals.   

Mary loved traveling, both with her family and school.   She was also a hard worker and enjoyed her job at the Frankfort Rehabilitation Center.  Always a child at heart, she looked forward to celebrating Easter, Christmas, and her birthdays.

The family is very grateful for the loving care and support she received at Heritage Healthcare and Rehab in Tuscaloosa AL during the last four years of her life.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Patricia and Earle Wheeler, and sister Pamela W Keck.   She is survived by her sisters Carol W Holtmeier (Denis), Nancy W Koeppe (Kim),  Holly A. Koeppe (Jeffrey), her brother Earle J Wheeler (Jennifer),  numerous nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Her visitation will be held May 1^st at Saint Mark Church, Northport AL, starting at noon, with a service to follow at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Special Olympics (www.specialolympics.org), AeroAngel (AeroAngel.org) or Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
