Mary Watson

Mary Kathleen "Kat" Watson, age 84, of Northport, Alabama, passed away January 20, 2025 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2025, at Magnolia Chapel North with Bro. Scott Montgomery and Bro. Jimmy Holliman officiating. Burial will follow in Carolwood FWB Church Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Magnolia Chapel North.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Virgie Sullivan; husband, Windle Watson; sister, Willowdean Cargile; and grandson, Hunter Watson.

Survivors include her daughter, Rena Jones; sons, Ricky Watson (Debbie) and Randy Watson (Joyce); brothers, Ray Sullivan, James Sullivan, and Bud Sullivan (Shirley); grandchildren, Josh Watson (Amanda), Adam Watson, Katie Watson, Sarah Watson, Carleigh Howell (Jesse), and Anna Waid (Adam); great-grandchildren, Harper Watson, Kaden McCombs, Madi Watson, Avery Howell, Riley Howell, Ava McLemore, Wesleigh Waid, and Charlie Waid; and special niece, Debra Reasner.

She loved her church and her church family. She also enjoyed working in her yard and seeing all the beautiful flowers.

Pallbearers will be Josh Watson, Adam Watson, Jesse Howell, Adam Waid, David Thacker, and Jimmy Holliman.

Honorary pallbearers are Carolwood Free Will Baptist Church, Hospice of West Alabama, Jean Pike, Susan Moore, Annie Smith, and Joan Watts.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Carolwood Free Will Baptist Cemetery Fund.
