Mary Virginia Waggoner MOUNDVILLE Mary Virginia Waggoner, age 81, of Moundville, died Aug. 18, 2012, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with Charles Spence and Damon Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas G. Waggoner; her daughter, Shirley Faye Waggoner; her grandson, Charles Anthony Williams; and her parents, Emmette and Leora Wise. Survivors include her daughters, Virginia Williams of Eutaw, Kathy Hollis of Empire, Frances Price of Quinton, and Patricia Burroughs and Sherry Lankford, both of Moundville; her sons, George Waggoner of Moundville, Thomas Waggoner of Cottondale, and William Waggoner and Emmette Waggoner, both of Moundville; her sister, Frances Dothery DeRamus of Clanton; her brothers, Tommy Montz and Gearld Colvin of Mississippi; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jeff Hollis, Jeremy Hollis, Tommy Waggoner, Tally Waggoner, Jason Rogers, J.D. Spencer, Chad Spencer, Brandon Harris, Marcus Burroughs, and Billy Laird. Honorary pallbearers are Amedisys Hospice Service with special thanks to all the nurses and caregivers, Dr. Skelton, Dr. Burdette, and friends of the family.
