Mary Teer

Mary McDaniel Teer passed away December 13, 2020, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She was 85 years old.

Mrs. Teer was born on August 1, 1935 in Hamilton, MS and moved shortly thereafter with her family to Tuscaloosa, AL, where she lived the remainder of her life. She was predeceased by her parents, Carlos Chester McDaniel and Edna Avis Cantrell McDaniel, and her brothers J.W. Barham, Kenneth McDaniel, and Wayne McDaniel, as well as her husband of over 50 years, James A. Teer, Jr. She is survived by two children, Russell Scott Teer and Reagan Buehler (Chris). Also surviving her are her grandchildren, Shannon Roulaine (Wesley) Chris Buehler, Jr. (Ashley), Zachary Buehler, Tara Stiles (Tyler), Torey Teer (Elizabeth), Lacey Vanlandingham (Conrad), and Casey Teer. Mrs. Teer had 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no family visitation due to Covid restrictions.  Services will be held at 1PM on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Magnolia Chapel South, with Rev. Charles Spence officiating. Masks and social distancing will be enforced.

Mrs. Teer had been a resident of Regency Retirement Center in Tuscaloosa for several years, and the family would like to thank the staff there for their care. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a wonderful hostess who enjoyed entertaining people and who loved giving gifts.
