Mary Alice Skelton NORTHPORT Mary Alice Skelton, age 82, of Northport, died July 19, 2013, at home. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Williamson Cemetery with Rev. Carl Wells officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Skelton; her son, Warren Skelton; her parents, Robert L. and Mary Elizabeth Williams; her sisters, Nina Belle Beck, Aileen Weston, and Betty Warren; her brother, Joseph C. Williams; and her grandson, Casey Thrasher. Survivors include her daughters, Ginger Bigham and Sylvia Sewell; her son, Randy Skelton; her grandchildren, Julie Graham, Misty Butler (James), Cameron Sewell (Toni), Drew Sewell (April), Leslie Kynard (Matt), Carmen Bigham, and Alyssa Benton (Robert); and her great-grandchildren, Jessie and Lawson Graham, Mary Beth, Annie Leigh, Jamie Alyce, and Zachary Butler, Jude and Alden Sewell, Lizzie and Ryan Sewell, Brylan Skelton, Kaylee Ellison, Braelyn Jones, and Cadrian and Ariana Benton. Mary Alice was the loving wife of Lowell for over 62 years. She was a wonderful mother to her four children and loved her grandchildren like only a grandmother could. Her immediate and extended family was always first in her life, and she was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed, but her family knows she is happy now and will hurt no more. Pallbearers will be Brylan Skelton, Lawson Graham, Cameron Sewell, Drew Sewell, James Butler, and Matt Kynard. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Kevin Katona and staff.
