Mary Helen Ivey
NORTHPORT - Mary Helen Ivey, age 80, of Northport, Ala., passed away January 23, 2019 at Northport Medical Center. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Carolwood FW Baptist Church with Bro. Morgan Spiller and Bro. Jimmy Norred officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019, at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and a child.
Survivors include her husband, Edgar L. Ivey, Jr. of Northport, Ala.; daughters, Cathy Norred (Jimmy) and Helene Sanford (Dennis); sons, Johnny Higginbotham (Vicky), Davie Higginbotham and Eddie Ivey; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a very sweet Christian lady who most enjoyed being with her family. She also enjoyed fellowshipping with dear friends at Bojangles.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson's research through the Michael J. Fox Foundation and/or the cemetery fund at Carolwood FW Baptist Church.
