Mary Gerardo

Mary Elizabeth Tilton Gerardo NORTHPORT | Mary Elizabeth Tilton Gerardo, age 88, of Northport, entered eternal life November 15, 2014, after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Alexander Gerardo, and is survived by six children, Edward Gerardo (Marie), Paul Gerardo (Susan Carter), Theresa Gerardo Gettens (Daniel), Barbara Gerardo, Jaime Mitchell (Heath), and Jennifer Taylor (Michael). In addition, she is survived by thirteen grandchildren and their families, who loved her dearly. Mary was born and raised in Asbury Park, NJ. She attended Holy Spirit Church and School, as well as Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia before marrying Alex in December, 1953. Mary was characterized by her tremendous faith and her devotion to family. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi University Church, an avid sports fan, and a long-time volunteer and supporter of many causes. A funeral will be at St. Francis Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will occur at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA at later date. Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North is in charge of local arrangements.
