TUSCALOOSA - Mary Sanders Fowler, age 85, was born into eternal life on March 9, 2018. Services will be 11 a.m., Monday, March 12, 2018 at Magnolia Chapel North Funeral Home with Doug Key officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hulon Fowler; father, James Harvey Sanders; and mother, Mae Sanders.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Chamblee (Mark); grandson, Ethan Chamblee; and granddaughter, Ragan Chamblee.
Mary was born in Fayette, Alabama and was a graduate of Fayette County High School. Although she lived in Tuscaloosa for many years, her heart never left her beloved hometown. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother; also, a very talented artist of watercolor and oil paintings, enjoyed reading and time working in her vegetable and flower gardens. Her true passion in life was caring for and assisting others in need, especially the elderly. She was a member of University Church of Christ for over 50 years; and more recently became a member of Central Church of Christ.
