Mary Margey Deason BERRY Mary Margey Deason, age 87, of Berry, died Dec. 4, 2012, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hannah United Methodist Church with Bro. Byron Fair officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Deason, and her son, Wayne Deason. Survivors include three daughters, Mary Nichols, Margaret Smith (Aubery), and Cindy Buford (Paul); eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved and cared for everyone with whom she came in contact. She worked at the Geer Center for special needs children. She was a member of the Bostick Homemakers Club and was a wonderful cook known for her homemade biscuits. Pallbearers will be Daniel Buford, Brian Nichols, David Foman, Ray Foman, Andrew Knight, and Matthew Knight. Honorary pallbearers are Mrs. Joyce Burgess, Hospice of West Alabama Inpatient and Home Health, Dr. George Miller, Dr. John Miller, and Dr. Leonard Jones and staff, and Dr. Jeffrey Anderson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama and Hannah United Methodist Church of Gordo.
