Mary Cannon

Mary J. Cannon NORTHPORT | Mary J. Cannon, age 53, of Northport, died October 16, 2014, at home. Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2014, at Salem Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Montgomery officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ike and Violet Cannon; two brothers, Dot and Leon Cannon; brother-in-law, Billy Hammonds; and nephew, Ike Edward Cannon. Survivors include her sisters, Wanda Lollar of Berry, Louise Hammonds and Vicky Cannon (Mike Thomas) of Northport; and brother, Glynn Cannon (Geraldine) of Pleasant Grove. Mary loved her family and was a wonderful person, sister, and friend. She loved the outdoors and loved her dogs especially her babies Jordan and Prince. She always picked up stray animals and gave them loving homes. She was always willing to help her family, neighbors and friends any way she could. Her family loved her very much and she will be greatly missed. She had a heart of gold. Pallbearers will be Tom Hammonds, Paul Hammonds, Bobby Cannon, Randall Cannon, Jerry Cannon, and Aaron Cannon. Honorary pallbearers are friends of the Northside community.
