Marvin Sexton

Marvin H. (Junior) Sexton, Jr., age 87, of Northport, Alabama, died July 9, 2017, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Rev. Tim Tindle officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin H. Sexton, Sr. and Floy Findley Sexton; and sister-in-law, Shirley L. Sexton. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Fisher Sexton; daughter, Deborah Fair (Barry); sons, Jimmy Sexton (Shirley), David Sexton and Warren Sexton (Amy); sister, Patsy McCool (Dan); brother, Billy Sexton (Sandra); 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. He loved the outdoors - walking, riding bicycles and boating on the lake or the river. He enjoyed watching and supporting his children in any activity that they participated in. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are previous co-workers at Gulf States Paper and Howell Lumber Co., employees of Hospice of West Alabama and Park Manor Nursing Home and Dr. Douglas Reynolds. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Junior's memory to Hospice of West Alabama.
