Martha Poe Jones

Martha Poe Jones age 68 of Northport, Alabama, passed away on February 8, 2024 at her residence. A celebration of Life will held at Big Hurricane Creek Cemetery, Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bartow and Irene Poe; husband, Kenneth Jones; son, Kenny D Jones; daughters, Tammy Smith and Sandra Jones; daughter in law, Brandi Dearman; brothers, Bob Poe, B.B. Poe, Raiford Poe, Terry Poe, Robert Poe, J.R. Poe; sister, Peggy Toxey; granddaughter, Emma Kate Jones.

She is survived by her son, Bradley S. Jones; grandchild, Avery Brooke Jones; niece, Lisa Toxey; sister in laws, Best Friend, Tina Jones and Mary Jones; and a host of nephews and cousins.

Martha, where do I begin? To my best friend of 25 plus years. To know her was to love her. She had the biggest heart and prettiest smile of anyone. She loved her family and friends unconditionally and it showed in her daily life. She was a caregiver to many. Martha lived through many hardships and grief, but survived them all. You got your reward on February 8, 2024 with the biggest celebration and homecoming ever. I know you were greeted with open arms and hugs from everyone you have dearly loved and missed. I can only imagine. Although we would love to have you still here, we know you are well and happy. I will do my best to keep my promise (you left me the hard headed one). Give everyone a hug for us, behave and have the time of your life. You deserve it. It's never goodbye, its till I see you again. Love and miss you with every beat of my heart my sweet, precious best friend. I'm jealous of the angels.
