Margene Jenkins

Margene Jenkins, age 85 of Moundville, Alabama passed away on February 16, 2021 at her residence. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Michael Cobb officiating.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie L. "Pete" Jenkins; mother, Mary Hartley; father, Rufus Burroughs; sister, Lora Dean Williams; brother, Howard Burroughs; daughter, Pam Ashcraft; and daughter in law, Karen Ashcraft.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Ashcraft Wooley of Moundville, AL.; son, Keith Ashcraft of Coos Bay, OR.; brother, Douglas Burroughs(Edelgard) of Tuscaloosa, AL.; grandchildren, Devin Ashcraft(Anna-Lotta) of Switzerland, Jesse Ashcraft(Christy) of Coos Bay, OR., Audra Ashcraft of Coos Bay, OR., Savanna Wooley(Shelby Schmidt) of Tuscaloosa, AL., Matthew Wooley of Moundville, AL., and 4 great grandchildren.

Everyone that knew Nana, knew that she could work circles around everyone. She was a spitfire. She was full of spunk and had no filter. She was a jack of all trades. She could fix the sink and then cook dinner and dessert. Her banana pudding was always a hit. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Larry Skelton and staff, Emcompass Health and staff and nurses, Eddie and Sarah Blocker, Fred McNeill, Nesa Terry and Wanda Singleton.
