Mabel N. Weidenback, age 85, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., died December 10, 2017, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Englewood Baptist Church with Bro. Bill Richards and Bro. Travis Neely officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be today, December 12, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Weidenback and daughters, Debra W. Higginbotham and Tammy W. Thomas. Survivors include her daughters, Janice Wyatt and Cindy Osborn, both of Tuscaloosa; son, Dexter Weidenback; sisters, Helen Street of Tuscaloosa and Lavada Norton of McCalla; ten grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. Mable was the strongest and sweetest person you will have ever met. She never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones. Pallbearers will be Bill Payne, Roger O'Mary, Doug Oliver, Butch Hanks, Charlie Davis and David Deas. Honorary pallbearers are the DCH Regional Medical Center 6th floor nurses, University Family Practice, Englewood Baptist Church and Taylorville Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that boy and girl toys be donated to Englewood Baptist Church or Taylorville Baptist Church for distribution through Tuscaloosa One Place.
