Lushen Kendrick | NORTHPORT Lushen Kendrick, age 80, of Northport, died June 18, 2010, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 3 p.m. today at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Brannon Pinion and Rev. Tim Tindle officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. A private burial will take place in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clive Milton Kendrick and Naomi Edwards Kendrick; and his brothers, J.C. Kendrick and F.D. Kendrick, all of Brownville, Ala. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Garrett Kendrick; his daughter, Mary Lynn Kendrick; his sons, Laddie Kendrick (Debbie) and Kevin Garrett Kendrick; his sisters-in-law, Ruby Kendrick and Patricia Garrett; his brother-in-law, Billy Fred Garrett; his grandchildren, Guin Daniel Kendrick (Sarah), William Seth Kendrick (Leslie), and Ryan Naomi Kirkley; his great-grandchildren, Sawyer Hallmark Kendrick and Jacob Ryan Deese; and his nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers are members of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, past and present employees of Hunt Refining Company, Brownville Coffee Club, Sansing Country Home, and neighbors of Thorndale subdivision. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Eagles Wings, Inc. and Hospice of West Alabama.
