Louise Wilson Hughes passed away peacefully on April 24 in Southaven Mississippi.
She is preceded in death by her parents H. E. and Calera Wilson, husband James H. Hughes, daughter Amanda Gardner, brothers Ed Wilson and Roy Wilson, and sister Maxine Watkins.
She is survived by her son, Tony Hughes (Gloria) of Southaven Mississippi, brother
Jimmy Wilson (Jean) of Tuscaloosa and sister Betty Rogers (Eugene) of Northport, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews,
Louise graduated from Tuscaloosa High School and then married the love of her life in
1948. She studied at Tuscaloosa Business School and worked at Railroad Express. She became a homemaker, devoted mother and the backbone of her husband's ministry. She served along side her husband in the Civil Air Patrol as a Chaplain's Assistant in the rank of Lieutenant. Louise served in many capacities in several churches as Sunday School teacher, pianist, prayer warrior, mentor, and missionary supporter. Her role as a sweet pastor's wife left a lasting impact on hundreds of individuals. Her work on earth is done. She can now receive her rewards in heaven.
Pallbearers will be T. J. Hughes, Ky Hughes, Francis Sacluti, J. R. Hughes, Christopher Avery, Marc Hughes, Mario Hughes, Neil Hughes, and Hudson Ahrens.
Honorary Pallbearers are members of Bible Baptist Church and members of Rice's Valley Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bible Baptist Mission Program.
