Lisa Sue Luquire TUSCALOOSA Lisa Sue Luquire, age 55, of Tuscaloosa, died November 20, 2013, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2013, at Forest Lake United Methodist Church with Rev. Lyle Holland, Rev. Melody Traylor, and Rev. Hal Noble officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be Sunday one hour prior to services at the church. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Samuel E. and Emma G. Monteith, Russell C. Luquire, Sr., and Dora and Bruce Marshall; and step-sister, Melanie Ruth Powell. Survivors include her partner, Amber Conder of Hickman, Ky.; cousins, Cathy Townsend Smith (Fred), Amie Smith of Hoover; Ashley Kirby (Nicholas), and Emma Kirby of Hoover; nephews and nieces, Phillip Boyd (Leah) and Braxton Boyd of Tuscaloosa, Blake Boyd of Northport, Megan and Bailey Powell of Northport, Cameron, Colin and Courtney Sheppard of Richmond, Va., and Conner and Madison Cook of Kennesaw, Ga.; stepsisters, Carmen Sheppard (Kevin) of Richmond, Va. and Nicole Cook (Keith) of Kennesaw, Ga.; brother, Rusty Luquire of Northport; parents, Susie Luquire of Tuscaloosa and Russell Luquire Jr. (Kay) of Tuscaloosa; aunt, Barbara Townsend (Don) of Hoover; uncle, Andre Monteith (Sarah) of Trussville; and special pets, Ava and Sweet Pea. Lisa was born January 1, 1958 in Birmingham, Alabama and grew up in Methodist Parsonages. She graduated from Tuscaloosa High School, and attended the University of Alabama. She was employed for several years at Lackey Floral in Birmingham and University Health Services Foundation. She had a deep love for her family and her pets. Lisa never met a stranger and was known for her gift of gab and a heart full of compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Forest Lake United Methodist Church, 1711 Fourth Avenue, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401; Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter; or the charity of one's choice .
